Six appeal: Triumph GT6, born under the sign of Venus

"Standing still the GT6 looks beautyful, but impatient for the off". These words have been copied from the Triumph GT6 brochure and they summarize what this car has been and today continues to be: a beautiful car worthy of being called Gran Turismo. In Italy, for many reasons, the GT6 had not spread and today it's therefore a rare car, although most known and desired than during past time. At a distance of fifty years his line still arouses admiration and could not be otherwise since it was born from the pencil of Giovanni Michelotti, one of the greatest designers of all time. In this article we wrote the story of this beautiful car about which there is still much to discover.

Triumphant Castles

The secret of happyness is made of just a few things: a car, a road and a destination. But the good ones. A GT6, the roads which climb the Appennini mountains from the Padana lowland and the castles in the provinces of Parma and PIacenza are definitely good, beyond any reasonable doubt.

Herald, fresh air at Standard Triumph

The story of the Herald is among the least known, although it's very fascinating. The Herald is a milestone in the history of Standard Triumph: it was the first production car designed by Giovanni Michelotti for the British company and marked the farewell, from the commercial point of view, of the brand "Standard" in favor of the "Triumph" name, now more attractive on the sales market. The Herald was born in one of the most complicated periods for the Standard Motor Company and its solutions influenced the whole production of the sixties: without the Herald and its commercial success, we wouldn't have had the Spitfire and GT6 and the fate of the Standard Triumph would have been at risk. In Italy the Herald hadn’t a large sales volume and after more than fifty years it’s still a little known an underrated car, unlike what happens in Anglo-Saxon countries where it's very appreciated for its particular drawing and for historical value. In this article we tell the complex story of his birth.
